flowers for a presidential event
This was a fundraiser at Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills where President Bush was endorsing a candidate.
It was special to be chosen among other florists to make the centerpieces for this outrageous event.
I was told to use blue flowers and I had to submit 2 different designs. We had to deliver the night before because of the security for the event. The secret service had to do an inspection before the President could arrive. I was living near Serrano Country Club at the time, and the President's helicopter landed at a school down my street. I saw him drive by in the motorcade from my backyard. He waved at me!
